My name is Guido van de Water (1982) and I’m from the Netherlands. I’m living in a small town called Beuningen (Gelderland) with my wife and two sons. For years I have been photographing everything interesting that comes on to my path and I’m always looking for new challenges.

As a teenager I discovered photography and soon after that first contact I bought my first DSLR camera. Through the years photography has always had influence on me and I started to develop myself more and more.

As an all-round photographer I’m interested in every field of photography. My biggest passion is photographing all different kinds of nature. This can be landscapes, mammals, birds or macro shots. I have been watching the films and documentaries of David Attenborough my whole life and they inspired me to get out there and experience nature myself. Photography is my way of getting out there. Being able to see, hear and feel nature for myself is the best way to live my life.

Since the beginning of 2022 I also started my own landscape photography YouTube channel. I try to upload a new video every Sunday full with images and new ideas. I will mostly take you through nature in the Netherlands but the videos are also recorded during holidays or photo trips. Look on the Vlogs pages of this website to see all my videos or look for me on YouTube.

The start of my YouTube channel has really helped me to get my name out in the photography world. From all over the world people started to watch and comment on my videos and that makes it a really fun thing to do. During the first half of the year 2022 I got in contact with the people from OM System ( formerly Olympus ). This resulted in giving a presentation on their stand in the professional imaging fair which was a real fun thing to do. After this we stayed in contact and to my great pleasure I was asked to join the OM System ambassador program. So from July 2022 I can officially call myself an OM System ambassador. That this happens at the brand that I have been using for the past 25 years is the confirmation that I took the right turn with my photography. I am really excited what the future will bring!
