ABOUT ME
My name is Guido van de Water, a passionate nature and landscape photographer based in the Nijmegen region of the Netherlands. With over 40 years of life experience and a deep-rooted love for capturing the beauty of our world, I work full-time in photography. My mission? To capture atmosphere and emotion in every shot and tell stories that resonate with people.
OM System
As an ambassador for OM System, I collaborate with one of the leading brands in the photography industry. This partnership allows me to work with cutting-edge technology while sharing my knowledge and experiences at festivals, events, and workshops across the Netherlands. I also regularly deliver talks at both large and small camera retailers, inspiring audiences to elevate their photography skills.
YouTube My passion for sharing knowledge extends beyond live events: on my own YouTube channel, I release weekly videos about photography. Here, I take viewers on adventures, share tips and techniques, and inspire them to discover the beauty of nature through their lens.
Awards
During the years I have won multiple prices and in 2024, I was honored to finish in the top 3 of the National Geographic anual Photography Contest. On this page you can find the top 3 image with comments from the judges.
As a result of the National Geographic photo contest, I subscribed to their Masterclass photography course. For a few months I attended their masterclass and photographed a project for the course. I’m very proud to say that I eventually earned the certificate that I successfully attended the course.
