This version is slightly more modern and focuses on the "why" behind your decision.

"I’ve spent years walking through the landscapes of the Netherlands and traveling the world. Unfortunately, I’ve also seen the darker side of nature photography: animals being harassed for 'the perfect shot,' habitats being trashed, and a general lack of respect for the environment.

That is why I’ve joined Nature First. They are a non-profit helping photographers realize that our presence always leaves a footprint.

I’m not perfect—I’ve stepped off the trail before—but I’ve realized that we have to be more intentional. It’s about asking yourself: 'What is my impact right now?' Whether it’s geo-tagging a fragile location or disturbing a nesting bird, our actions have consequences.

Nature is fragile, and there isn't much of it left. I’m proud to support the Nature First initiative and help spread their message.

Take a look at their principles below. It all starts with one simple habit: thinking before you act.
